Cube Entertainment responds to rumors about internal management conflict



Cube Entertainment addressed rumors about the company's internal management conflict leading to a series of employee resignations. 

Cube as well as its largest shareholder IHQ announced, "The rumors are completely false. IHQ is part of the company, but they did not influence detailed management in any form." IHQ clarified, "Cube Entertainment is mainly run by its CEO Hong Seung Sung, and he holds most power in terms of artist management and creative directing. IHQ does not interfere in detailed management plans. We are going to continue to respect the company's way of management and will work our best to actively support the promotion of its artists." 

Gong Yoo Describes The Struggles Of Fighting Zombies For New Film “Train To Busan”



Actor Gong Yoo talked about the challenges in filming an action movie with zombies.
On July 12, “Train to Busan” held a press conference with cast members, including Gong Yoo, Jung Yoo Mi, Ahn Soo Hee, Ma Dong Seok, Choi Woo Sik, Kim Eui Sung, and Kim Soo Ahn.
During the event, Gong Yoo shared, “I thought zombie and action films were a piece of cake, but I struggled.”
The actor said, “I’ve filmed realistic action films before so I thought they were doable, but fighting with the zombies was extremely complicated.”
He explained, “Even if I try to match their movements, their bodies are always convulsing and their arms twisted, so when they attack it’s hard to take it from the receiving end. It’s also difficult to figure out where to hit them during fight scenes because zombies are always moving.”
Set to premiere on July 20, “Train to Busan” is a film about the fight to survival of passengers on a train to Busan when a disaster hits Korea.

Ailee And Kim Yeon Woo In Talks, Kim Bum Soo Confirmed To Join “Superstar K” As Judges


On July 12, Mnet’s singing audition program “Superstar K” announced that singers Ailee, Kim Yeon Woo, and Kim Bum Soo are in final talks to join the judges panel for this season.
“After finalizing the lineup, we will release an official statement,” the show shared.
Since then, Kim Bum Soo’s management agency Ilgwang Polaris Entertainment has confirmed Kim Bum Soo’s appearance on the show.
On July 13, the agency revealed, “After deep contemplation, Kim Bum Soo has decided to join Mnet “Superstar K 2016″ as a judge.”
“Using his past experience [on the show], Kim Bum Soo will use his refined eagle eye to discover raw talent,” Ilgwang Polaris says.
If Ailee and Kim Yeon Woo join the show, Kim Bum Soo will be the only returning judge. Past judges Yoon Jong Shin, Baek Ji Young, and Sung Si Kyung were recently revealed to have turned down offers to return to “Superstar K” this season.

U-KISS Dongho shares photos of his newborn baby son


Former U-KISS member Shin Dongho shared some of his happiness to his fans as he released exclusive stills of his firstborn son. 
On July 10th, the singer and actor posted the photos through his personal Facebook account as he and his wife Kim Seehee welcomed their firstborn son, Asher Shin, last June 29th.
Dongho was proud to share his first photo with his family as he and his wife posed in a series of concepts with his wife. The highlight of the update, however, was the adorable pictorial featuring his son, as they dressed Asher Shin in a number of outfits related to their theme filled with toys. Dongho and Seehee got married in November and is considered to be one of the youngest idol group member to marry.
It can be recalled that Dongho made his debut with U-KISS back in 2008 but eventually retired from the entertainment industry by 2013.
